A few weeks ago I attended the Department of Computer Science Alumni-Student Mentorship program reception. The program is designed to pair up grad/undergrad students with UofT CompSci alum who are currently working in the IT industry. It was a good chance to meet other students, meet some profs, and of course, meet the alum! This was my first time meeting my mentor, Urooj Kahn (he’s in the third picture, he works for Deloitte as an IT Consultant). It was definitely an interesting experience.
I don’t want to make this sound like a plug, but its actually a great chance to talk to the alum and ask some of those burning questions. Everyone there was really friendly and open, so make sure you sign up next year!
