I have a love/hate relationship with my Mac.
For example, I’m absolutely in love with Quicksilver, I simply can’t live without it! It’s that awesome. However, if you want to do some file management on your Mac, you’ll know that Finder is simply atrocious for doing anything useful. Hell, sometimes it gets so bad that I just drop down to the Terminal and manage things from there.
But I digress.
Derek recently showed me a nice way to setup my Dock so that I can easily access frequently used shell scripts. We both have a bunch of short, one-liner scripts for ssh-ing into cdf, or for connecting to the school’s wireless firewall. We access these scripts VERY often, so the quicker we can access these, the happier we will be. So what we do is we dump all of these scripts into a folder and drag them onto the Dock. Now, all of our scripts are a button-click away. Seems like a no-brainer, but I thought I’d never see the day when the Dock beats out Quicksilver in terms of the laziness factor.
